The Story of Big Belly Bob: An Uncommon Approach to Weight Loss
by Robert Mikkelsen (Author), Maury Aaseng (Illustrator)

There are many books written on the topic of weight loss, but few tell a story capturing the essence with such simplicity. This is one.

The Most Controversial Weight Loss
Book In The Market!

This is the story of Big Belly Bob. He is by nature a happy guy, having purpose and passion. He is married, has close friends and enjoys life. He is involved in the community and has concern for the well-being of others. He is a man of integrity and compassion. Yet he is unique. An individual. An overweight individual.

In a delicately illustrated collection, controversial author Robert Mikkelsen goes against conventional wisdom by exploring the tactical elements of the highly complex topic of weight control. Identifying sustainability as the core issue, Mikkelsen uncovers an intuitive approach using passive mechanisms to emotionally release people from guilt. The story is positive and uplifting, yet contains a powerful message to help people restart a new lifestyle everyday.

Most people can lose weight dieting, but unfortunately 95% of them will gain the weight back. While understanding and managing one’s emotions are important, simplifying the process by removing emotion becomes paramount to discovering a repeatable first step. “There is no emotional wagon to fall off and no emotional wagon to get back on,” states Robert Mikkelsen. “Simplifying the process by creating a repeatable first step is fundamental to sustaining weight loss.”

What others are saying...

"Big Belly Bob is one of those rare books that changes the way you think. Keeping true to his message, Mikkelsen reaches out to his audience in a child-like manner, sharing an experience that can be applied to any problem, not just weight loss."
--Matthew Tarzon, NASM-Certified Personal Trainer

"Mikkelsen assures us that we do not have to understand the complex processes that occur in our brains to alter destructive behavior. Rather, he invites the reader to see how a small change in perception has the power to trigger a cascade of positive shift in behavioral patterns resulting in big rewards."
--M. Paul Zimber, Ph.D. Chief Neuroscientist, Inertia Scientific Consulting

"Mikkelsen tactfully uses humor to address and disarm a sensitive issue. His approach of finding a passive trigger offers a fresh perspective that is both sensible and realistic."
--Kelly Ann Riley, Marriage and Family Therapist
